Special Requirements and Information:
In the wild,
these Acros can get huge.
In your tank they'll get a large as the tank and
your care will allow. While some of the branches
will stretch toward the light, they primarily
grow wider. Give them plenty of room so they
don't get into a coral war with their neighbors.
They require the best
of water flow and lighting conditions. Initially
place them away from your light source
until they've acclimated and then move them to
where they can gather the most light available.
Feed anytime during the day. Once they're
accustomed to your tank, they can be introduced
to frozen foods such as chopped blood worms,
artemia or squid. Steady and regular feeding of
zooplankton will maintain great polyp health
which, of course, will be a major benefit the
coral. Supplement with strontium, calcium and
magnesium.
