Special Requirements and Information:
The
Montipora is organized with multiple
ridges and bumps across it's plates. Since they have an irregular
surface they do require a sufficient water flow
to increase their contact with the column and
thereby access food and nutrients. They can be
placed virtually anywhere in your tank, but we
recommend them being off the substrate and away
from a high output light source as they can have
difficulties if the temperature exceeds 80
degrees.
Feed anytime during the day. Once they're
accustomed to your tank, they can be introduced
to frozen foods such as chopped blood worms,
artemia or squid. Use a turkey baster to supply
the foods to guarantee feeding.
Non-aggressive and an excellent addition to any
tank large enough to allow growth.
