Special Requirements and Information:
A reasonably
rare coral and a fascinating addition to your
aquarium. As with most encrusting corals, the
superficialis is an easy coral to care for. The
more power in your light source, the more
dramatic the colors. Very often, the tentacles
will have a differing color from the polyps.
They will grow at a reasonable pace given the
proper conditions. Feeding should be light during the day with the
full feeding at night. Feed plenty of
phytoplankton and add calcium, magnesium and
strontium as supplements. Once they're accustomed
to your tank, they can be introduced to frozen
foods such as chopped blood worms.
Very sensitive to water conditions..
