Special Requirements and Information:
Plate Corals are very cool additions to any tank
that doesn't have predatory fish or corals.
Because they lay on the substrate, they fill an
area [in your aquarium] not normally occupied by
other corals. Once they've acclimated to the
tank conditions they have a tendency to move to
an area of their own choosing. This one has a
wonderful fuchsia color on the spines with cream
colored tentacles that are presently in a
retracted position.
Feed anytime during the day. Once they're
accustomed to your tank, they can be introduced
to frozen foods such as chopped blood worms,
artemia or squid. Plate Corals will grow in
width and should get calcium, strontium and
iodine supplemental feedings.
