Special Requirements and Information:
Somewhat of a
misnomer, Sun Polyps are [in fact]
non-photosynthetic animals. In nature they tend
to hide under outcroppings but they will handle
the light in your aquarium. As filter feeders,
they require medium water flow access, so if you
hide them under rocks you will need a high level
of flow to compensate.
Feed anytime during the day and make sure to
supplement with Calcium, Strontium, Iron and
trace elements. If you spend the extra time with
them, they will extend their polyps and then
they can be some of the most beautiful corals in
your tank.
