Special Requirements and Information:
The
Leptoseris is sometimes called a "Lettuce Coral" or
"Leaf Coral" or even "Wrinkle Coral". They
can be encrusting or leaf-like formations.
While most are not as elaborate as The Green
Zebra, they've become a popular addition to the
aquarium hobby.
They should be fed
zooplankton on a regular basis. Once they're accustomed
to your tank, they can be introduced to small frozen
foods, preferably, at night. Addition of
strontium and calcium will help the coral
structure.
They have small stinging tentacles and can be aggressive towards their neighbors.
