Special Requirements and Information:
Is there
anything cooler looking than a pair of Harlequin
Shrimp running around your tank? Unless you're a
starfish (especially Linckia) or an occasional
Urchin, probably not.
Since they molt - they need to have controlled iodine levels and do
not tolerate high levels of nitrate or copper.
Because of their particular diet they need to be
in a tank where the owner is sure to kept them
supplied with starfish especially Linckia and
Common Stars.
Lastly: they are not very large. An inch and a half is a good
adult size, but should not be kept in a small
tank because of their sensitivity to water
conditions. You should also screen your pumps or
overflows.
