Sometimes called "Pineapple Coral" or "Closed Brain Coral" or even "Moonstone Coral". This large polyped brain coral uses symbiotic algae zooxanthellae as it's major nutrition. Begin low in the tank until they become acclimated and then move them anywhere you want. The green color of this coral allows it to be placed closer to a high output light source. The closer to the top - the more pronounced the color.
Feed at night. Maintain feeding zooplankton and microalgae throughout the life of the coral. Once they're accustomed to your tank, they can be introduced to frozen foods such as chopped blood worms, artemia or squid. Use a turkey baster to place the food. In an established tank they will feed on the live food in the water. Requires supplemental calcium, strontium and trace elements for proper health.
Semi-aggressive (primarily at night), give plenty of room. It will send out stinging cells to attack it neighbors.
